To my surprise, as I was scrolling through 300 trail cam videos, I came across a hawk swooping down and carrying away a raven as their prey. I was in horror and fascination at the same time, I could not believe that a hawk would be considering a raven as a meal. 😱
During my research, I found articles stating that if a hawk cannot find any small critters then ravens will do as a yummy meal. You can read more here.
I applied a slow motion filter to capture the event as well. There is a beauty and a dark side to nature!

Here are 25 cute bear and deer trail cam videos! The weather has been super hot for the past few weeks in South Carolina with daytime highs in the 90s. All the critters have been very active. Early this morning, there was a cub foraging in our backyard. Looks like she found some yummy berries! All the regular bears and deer are returning with newborns. Plus, many of the cubs and fawns that we have seen in past years have become independent and are also making appearances. Luckily, our trail cam captured some of the summer excitement!

There has been a drought in this neck of the woods for the last few weeks. Fortunately, between yesterday and today, we have been gifted 5 inches of rain, with more on the way!
