Hawk Attacks Raven In Mid-Air

(c) Debra Roinestad, The Comfy Cabin, 2023

To my surprise, as I was scrolling through 300 trail cam videos, I came across a hawk swooping down and carrying away a raven as their prey. I was in horror and fascination at the same time, I could not believe that a hawk would be considering a raven as a meal. 😱

During my research, I found articles stating that if a hawk cannot find any small critters then ravens will do as a yummy meal. You can read more here

I applied a slow motion filter to capture the event as well. There is a beauty and a dark side to nature!

More and exciting trail cam videos for this month to be posted soon!

Have a fantastic summer!!

Ravishing Ravens on Trail Cam

I am raving about ravens. The weather is great now for raven watching. According to wildlife experts, many have admired the ravens’s intelligence and confidence as they strut around. Ravens are not usually as social like crows, but sometimes they hang around in pairs.

Read more here about ravens.

Our trail cam captured 174 raven videos! I narrowed down the trail cam videos and picked out the most enjoyable footage.
